Do event companies really know what they are missing out on and even losing money on?

Paylogic’s success is mostly a result of a market that was not working correctly. Ticket services lost the meaning of service somewhere along the line and tickets aren’t reinvented since the companies started. Paylogic believes event companies deserve better. The claims:

  • Event companies are being dominated by ticketing companies, as they had no alternatives
  • Event companies do not know what they exactly pay for ticketing services
  • Event companies do not realize sharing customer data with ticketing companies is ludicrous
  • Event companies are made to believe that operating a ticketing system is difficult

The most logical place of selling tickets is on your own website, not on the website of a ticketing company, although many ticketing companies will tell you otherwise.

The only benefiter of selling tickets on the website of the ticketing company is this ticketing company itself, as the event company becomes dependant of these ticket web shops by selling al their tickets there, while this ticket web shop actually add nothing to the event.

This way of ticket sales is completely illogical. The fast majority of event visitors first visit the event website before ordering a ticket. They do this to find out what the event is about; every research complies on this.

When your visitor is on your website already why then lose that momentum and send them to another party? Because there was no choice where you might not even know the visitor was on your website!  By sending the visitor to the ticketing shop of the ticketing partner, you will lose/share the contact information of that customer. Besides that the customer may even select another event on this portal as it was ready to buy, but is redirected to a large online shop with a wide range of events to choose from. Beside these points the most questionable aspect of all is the commission fee that needs to be paid to the ticketing company,  which is of course, complete nonsense whether the event visitor or event company pays for this.

Paylogic believes that making use of additional (online) media to stimulate the promotion of an event is a good idea, but never without offering the tickets on your own website too. Otherwise you are creating costs instead of a partnership. Get independent, get in charge, get rid of expensive ticketing parties, get more money on your own tickets and get in real contact with your customer; so get Paylogic real soon.
